Therapist: Concerning DNA, do we have any DNA in common with your species?
Zetan: DNA is a combination of a number of compounds in the right combination. Much of our DNA has similar pattern arrangements as your species does. We are not too dissimilar and there may be some long past origin between our species and human beings. The human combination is unique and extraordinary.
Therapist: There is a question about the what the human species might look like in ten thousand years. Just projecting out, can you see some physical adaptations that might take place over roughly ten thousand years, if you assume the current rate of evolution?
Zetan: Ten thousand years in Earth time is a not-too-distant future to project. Humans would probably be taller or smaller, depending on the availability of food sources and their diet. There will probably be less body hair and larger heads. Their bodies will become slimmer.
In the development of space travel, this will begin to accelerate may changes in the humans species as evolution begins to adapt the body to weightless environment. right now, it has challenges adapting because technology moves faster than evolution can accommodate. In time, bodies will become taller, slimmer, more delicate and not too dissimilar from our appearance, which was also affected by space travel.

Therapist: Steve would like the experience of touching you. Is this possible at this time?
Zetan: Yes. This can be arranged.
Steve: I am reaching out to touch his forearm now. It feels cool. It feels smooth and, at the same time, leathery. I am touching his hand. He is touching mine. He turns his hand up. I can feel a kind of overall pulsing in his hand. It does not feel like a boney, skeletal hand, but it feels more like a kind of cartilage. It is rigid, but when I touch it gently, it seems to have a certain elasticity, like plastic. He is touching my hand, and I can feel his mind, through his fingers, probing and gathering information.
I extend my hand up his forearm, touching gently, but respectfully no farther so as not to intrude into his space. I rest my palm on top of his to show an expression of openness and trust. I then extend my other palm underneath, his supporting his hand between mine. His fingers are long and spindly. I sense they have many nerve endings there. Han and I seem to be exchanging thoughts, as if we are now, strangely, directly wired. Astonished, I withdraw my hands, and Han withdraws his. This creates a moment of reflection and then further questions.

Therapist: What is birth like for your species?
Zetan: It is not birth as you know it. It is a mechanical process. When one being is ready to expire, we prepare another one to take its place. We carefully control our numbers according to the environmental availability of each planet.
Therapist: We ask for a demonstration of music, using Steve's body as the receptacle.
Zetan: We can accommodate that.
Steve begins describing a feeling like drumming or pulsing, but without any definite rhythm.
Steve: I sense no sound, more emotion. There are layers of many emotions with many rhythms at the same time. There is a harmony. There are too many notes, first pulsing, then serene, then a finish. Like a symphony, it changes tempo. It is more sophisticated than a poem. It is like Beethoven's Pastoral, without the sound, just emotions. (Note that Zetans, who describe themselves as having subdued emotions, have put their emotions into rhapsodies of feelings and rhythms.)

Zetan: They do not go to schools in your sense. They are taught in an environment that you might call home schooling. They are well educated in mathematics and many other areas. There is great exposure to a very large body of knowledge from an early age.
Therapist: Are there specialized studies such as research or medicine?
Zetan: Yes. We still have doctors, as you call them, for we are still a mortal species and sometimes get injured or ill. Much of our need for "doctors" has been replaced with greater immunity to illnesses, built into our genetic identity as a species.
